Our first Multiplier Event took place in the beautiful city of Stavanger, Norway. We had productive exchange and discussions about the topics of culture and diversity in order to develop a framework for cultural awareness with colleagues from Ramon Llull University, Barcelona, Artevelde University of Applied Science, Ghent, and the Hogeschool KPZ, Zwolle. We learned a lot about study programmes and teaching approaches in the context of culture and diversity.

In addition to workshops and discussions, Mercedes Mayol Lassalle (World President of the World Organization for Early Childhood Education) commented on our project and highlighted its importance for the professionalization of Early Childhood Education. Prof. Dr. Eva Johansson (University of Stavanger) gave us some insights into the concept of belonging and presented current research findings in this context.
