Dr. Stefan Faas is Professor of Social Pedagogy with a focus on quality in early childhood education and care, professionalization, evaluation and transformation. He is co-founder of the international research network 'Cultures of Early Childhood Education and Care (CECEC)' and director of the 'Center for Quality Research and Monitoring in Child and Youth Care (ZQM)' at the University of Education Schwäbisch Gmünd. Furthermore, he is scientific director of the pädquis Foundation Berlin.

Dr. Anita Berge
Anita Berge, PhD, is Head of department, Department of Early Childhood Education at the University of Stavanger (UiS), Norway. She has lectured in early childhood education and has been leader of The Master Program in ECEC Science at UiS. Her research relates to learning cultures in ECEC institutions, curriculum theory and policy analysis, critical discourse analysis (CDA) and values education. Berge participated in the project Politics of belonging: Promoting children’s inclusion in educational settings across borders. The project focused on diversity, inclusion and belonging in ECEC institutions. Berge explored belonging and children’s inclusion in educational settings and took part in policy analysis across five participating countries.

Dr. Gunnar Magnus Eidsvåg is Associate Professor at the department of Early Childhood Education at the University of Stavanger. He teaches topics in religion, life-stance philosophy, and ethics as well as social sustainability and value-pedagogics. Eidsvåg’s research interests are ethics, multireligious education and belonging. He has been part of research projects and groups such as Politics of Belonging: Promoting children’s inclusion in educational settings across borders, Professional Ethics in ECEC, and Classical Religious Texts in Global Contexts.

Dr. Yngve Rosell is an associated professor in the department Early Childhood Education at the University of Stavanger. Rosell teaches the subjects Pedagogical work with children under three (specialist subject, bachelor) and Transitions in Early Childhood (master). Rosell has worked in different research projects, such as: Politics of Belonging: Promoting children’s inclusion in educational settings across borders, Toddlers Wellbeing and Values in ECEC. Her research interests are intercultural play and belonging; inclusive education; specific learning disorders; reading development in First- and Second-language learners.
