Following the successful implementation of the MA Spring School ‘Critical Cultural Awareness in Migration Societies’, the 2nd Spring School will take place from 7th to 11th of April 2025 in Stavanger, Norway. Students from Europe were able to register for this course via the ECIU platform until the end of January. Due to the high demand, the programme can be held again and experts with attractive topics can be brought in. The seminars and workshops will focus on theoretical and practical perspectives in ECEC, such as ‘Critical cultural awareness and decolonising theory and practice’, ‘Reflecting everyday life practices in a critical cultural perspective’ and ‘Playful learning approach to cultural awareness’. The programme will again be enriched by an observation visit to a kindergarten that has developed an ‘interethnic play’ approach in which children with and without a migration background play and learn together and form a community.
